If you are on Statin drugs (For cholesterol control) you should be taking a Vitamin B6, B12 and Folic acid supplement plus a coQ10 supplement. Omega3 would also be nice.

Hyperhomocysteinemia does cause tendency for thrombosis. But it is much rarer than dyslipidemia causing atherosclerosis. Large scale studies are yet to prove that routine supplementation of B6, B12, Folic acid, Coenzyme Q10 and Omega 3 fatty acids are essential. May be it will occur some time later. Any study with a bias will be proved wrong sooner or later. Only time will tell.

Sorry, but there have been studies that have shown no benefit to supplementing coQ10 with statin therapy. While statins do diminish coQ10 levels, it was shown that the supplementing made no difference. Just because something “makes sense”, doesn’t mean it actually works.
Omega-3 oils do have a proven benefit.
While some unfortunate patients have significant side effects from ANY drug, statins (as a class) aren’t nearly as dangerous as some think. Given the volume of statin Rx’s, there should be dead bodies every where if they were ‘deadly’.
While I don’t agree with your conclusions, I do applaud the fact that you’ve taken control of your own health.
