Vitamins For Healthy Skin?

I read an article on WebMD about vitamins for healthy skin. It says that a good concoction would be Vitamin C (1000 to 3000mg), Vitamin E (400 int’l micrograms), plus Selenium (100 to 200 micrograms).
I want to try this to get my skin looking and feeling healthier, but my question is, can I take those vitamin supplements if I already take a multi-vitamin that contains Vitamin C & E? I don’t want to OD on vitamins (if that’s even possible).

You can take extra vitamin C. It’s a water soluable vitamin and will be flushed out of the body when using the restroom. Vitamin E is a fat soluable vitamin, which is stored in the fat cells of your body. You can take Vitamin E every day, but you don’t necessarily need to. The possibility of ODing on extra vitamins is not very likely. Now the selenium, you should probably stick with what is already included in the multivitamin you take, as you can develop selenium toxicity by taking more than 400 mcg per day…

Its always possible to OD on vitamins, but C, E and Selenium are so abundant in the foods we eat that you’d have to really take a LOT to worry about side effects.
Its perfectly fine to take an additional dosage of each of those along with a regular multi-vitamin.

no need to take that vitamin cocktail, it wont do anything for you but hurt your liver. supplementing lycopene will help with skin complexion though
